Description
Biographical details on Shimshon Unichman (1907-1961), born in Rovno, (Wolyn), Poland, among heads of Betar Poland. In 1935 immigrated to Eretz Israel and appointed commander of Volunteer Service Unit in Rosh Pina. Served as Natziv Betar in Eretz Israel, and sent as representative to Tehran in 1941.
In 1944 imprisoned in Latrun and then deported to camps in Africa.
1946 - 1948: Chairman of World Union of Brit Hatzohar Headquarters; Herut Knesset Member, member of Executive Committee of Zionist General Council, Executive Committee of World Jewish Congress.
