Description

Report by Luigi Gabbrielli, Consul General of Italy in Jerusalem, on the position of the Revisionist Movement in light of new developments in the Zionist movement, 18.02.1932. The report refers to the publication of the 1930 Passfield White Paper and Chaim Weizmann's defeat at the Zionist Congress in Basel and the election of Nahum Sokolov as leader of the Zionist movement. The author then refers to the fact that the World Zionist Organization no longer represents the entire Jewish public in the world and to the fact that the Revisionists are becoming increasingly popular. Ze'ev Jabotinsky's criticism of the Mandatory government in Israel is mentioned in the publication in the "Times" of the criticism's disclaimer from the Zionst Organization Executive and quotes from the article, followed by Jabotinsky's response published in the "Jewish Chronicle" in London.
A telegram of thanks from Raffaele Guariglia from the Ministry of Foreign Affaires to the Italian Consulate in Jerusalem.
